C erto dia, quando estava adorando no templo de seu deus Nisroque, seus filhos Adrameleque e Sarezer o feriram à espada, e fugiram para a terra de Ararate. E seu filho Esar-Hadom foi o seu sucessor.

When he was worshiping in the house of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer killed him with the sword. Then they ran away to the land of Ararat. And his son Esarhaddon became king in his place.
