N o Egito, os nossos antepassados não deram atenção às tuas maravilhas; não se lembraram das muitas manifestações do teu amor leal e rebelaram-se junto ao mar, o mar Vermelho.

Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
