S ob as suas ordens foram derrubados os altares dos baalins; além disso, ele despedaçou os altares de incenso que ficavam acima deles. Também despedaçou e reduziu a pó os postes sagrados, as imagens esculpidas e os ídolos de metal, e os espalhou sobre os túmulos daqueles que lhes haviam oferecido sacrifícios.

They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence; the sun-images that were high above them he hewed down; the Asherim and the graven images and the molten images he broke in pieces and made dust of them and strewed it upon the graves of those who sacrificed to them.
