S alum, filho de Coré, neto de Ebiasafe e bisneto de Corá, e seus parentes, os coreítas, guardas das portas, responsáveis por guardar as entradas da Tenda, como os seus antepassados tinham sido responsáveis por guardar a entrada da habitação do Senhor.
