D avi se apossou de mil dos seus carros de guerra, sete mil cavaleiros e vinte mil soldados de infantaria. Ainda levou cem cavalos de carros de guerra e aleijou todos os outros.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; David also hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved those of one hundred chariots.
