H azael foi encontrar-se com Eliseu, levando consigo de tudo o que havia de melhor em Damasco, um presente carregado por quarenta camelos. Ao chegar diante dele, Hazael disse: “Teu filho Ben-Hadade, rei da Síria, enviou-me para perguntar se ele vai recuperar-se da sua doença”.

And Hazael goeth to meet him, and taketh a present in his hand, even of every good thing of Damascus, a burden of forty camels, and he cometh in and standeth before him, and saith, `Thy son Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?'
