P ois tu os escolheste dentre todos os povos da terra para serem a tua herança, como declaraste por meio do teu servo Moisés, quando tu, ó Soberano Senhor, tiraste os nossos antepassados do Egito”.

For thou didst separate them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord Jehovah.
