S omente as terras dos sacerdotes não foram compradas, porque, por lei, esses recebiam sustento regular do faraó, e disso viviam. Por isso não tiveram que vender as suas terras.

Only the priests’ land he did not buy, for the priests had a fixed pension from Pharaoh and lived on the amount Pharaoh gave them. So they did not sell their land.
