C ând bărbaţii din Aşdod au văzut ce se întâmplă, au zis: „Chivotul Dumnezeului lui Israel nu mai trebuie să rămână la noi căci mâna lui apasă asupra noastră şi asupra lui Dagon, zeul nostru.“

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
