S lujitorii lui Saul i-au spus aceste cuvinte lui David, iar acesta a răspuns: – Credeţi că este un lucru neînsemnat să fii ginerele regelui? Eu sunt un om sărac şi de puţină însemnătate.

So Saul’s servants said this to David. But David said, “Is it not important to you to become the king’s son-in-law? I am only a poor man and am not very respected.”
