D omnul i-a zis lui Samuel: – Până când îl vei mai plânge pe Saul, din moment ce Eu l-am respins, ca să nu mai domnească peste Israel? Umple-ţi cornul cu untdelemn şi du-te acolo unde te trimit: la Işai, betleemitul, pentru că pe unul din fiii săi Mi l-am ales ca rege.

And Jehovah saith unto Samuel, `Till when art thou mourning for Saul, and I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thy horn with oil, and go, I send thee unto Jesse the Beth-Lehemite, for I have seen among his sons for Myself a king.
