A bimelek şi tot poporul care era cu el s-a suit pe muntele Ţalmon. A luat în mână un topor, a tăiat o creangă din copac şi a pus-o pe umăr. Apoi le-a zis oamenilor care erau cu el: „Aţi văzut ce am făcut eu; faceţi şi voi la fel!“

Then Abimelech went up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an axe in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it up and laid it on his shoulder, and said to the people that was with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, do as I have done.
