B eniamiţii au urmărit poporul, fiind astfel îndepărtaţi de lângă cetate. Au început să lovească în popor şi să ucidă ca în celelalte dăţi, pe drumurile cele mari – unul care duce la Betel şi altul la Ghiva – şi în câmpie. Au ucis aproape treizeci de israeliţi.

And the sons of Benjamin come out to meet the people; they have been drawn away out of the city, and begin to smite of the people -- wounded as time by time, in the highways (of which one is going up to Beth-El, and the other to Gibeah in the field), about thirty men of Israel.
