D omnitorii filistenilor s-au adunat ca să aducă o mare jertfă zeului lor, Dagon, şi să se veselească. Ei ziceau: „Zeul nostru l-a dat în mâinile noastre pe Samson, duşmanul nostru!“

Now the lords of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice, for they said, “Our god has given Samson our enemy into our hands.”
