C ând s-au întors la Iosua, i-au spus: – Nu e nevoie să înainteze toată oştirea pentru a ataca cetatea Ai, ci doar două sau trei mii de oameni. Nu mai obosi toată oştirea, fiindcă acolo sunt puţini oameni.

and they turn back unto Joshua, and say unto him, `Let not all the people go up; let about two thousand men, or about three thousand men, go up, and they smite Ai; cause not all the people to labour thither; for they few.'
