T recuse o lungă perioadă de timp de când Domnul dăduse odihnă lui Israel din partea tuturor duşmanilor care-l înconjurau, iar Iosua era bătrân şi înaintat în vârstă.

Now it came to pass, a long time after the Lord had given rest to Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua was old, advanced in age.
