E le par să fie bazate pe înţelepciune, prin religia autoimpusă şi falsa smerenie, prin asprimea faţă de trup, însă nu au nici o valoare în ce priveşte înfrânarea dorinţelor naturii păcătoase.

(which have indeed an appearance of wisdom in voluntary worship, and humility, and harsh treatment of the body, not in a certain honour,) to satisfaction of the flesh.
