A ltfel, s-ar putea ca atunci când îl va urmări pe ucigaş, răzbunătorul sângelui, cuprins de mânie, să-l ajungă din urmă deoarece distanţa va fi prea mare şi să-l omoare pe cel ce nu era vinovat de moarte, pentru că nu-l duşmănise mai dinainte pe semenul său.

lest the avenger of blood, while his anger is hot, pursue the manslayer and overtake him, because the way is long, and kill him, though he was not deserving of death, since he had not hated the victim in time past.
