Î ntrucât, în înţelepciunea lui Dumnezeu, lumea nu L-a cunoscut pe Dumnezeu prin înţelepciune, Dumnezeu a găsit de cuviinţă ca prin nebunia predicării să-i mântuiască pe cei care cred.

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
