Î n timp ce Isus era într-una dintre cetăţi, se afla acolo şi un om plin de lepră. Când L-a văzut pe Isus, a căzut la pământ înaintea Lui şi L-a rugat zicând: – Doamne, dacă vrei, poţi să mă curăţeşti!

And it came to pass, while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man full of leprosy: and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
