Ş i imediat a cântat cocoşul a doua oară. Atunci Petru şi-a adus aminte cuvântul pe care i-l spusese Isus: „Înainte de al doilea cântat al cocoşului te vei lepăda de Mine de trei ori!“ Şi a început să plângă.

And at once for the second time a cock crowed. And Peter remembered how Jesus said to him, Before a cock crows twice, you will utterly deny Me three times. And having put his thought upon it, he broke down and wept aloud and lamented.
