T oţi cei din ţinutul Iudeii şi toţi locuitorii Ierusalimului au început să vină la el şi, mărturisindu-şi păcatele, erau botezaţi de el în râul Iordan.

And there kept going out to him all the country of Judea and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, as they were confessing their sins.
