A tunci Balaam şi-a rostit oracolul şi a zis: „Balak m-a adus din Aram, regele Moabului m-a chemat din munţii de la răsărit. «Vino, mi-a zis el, şi blestemă-l pe Iacov pentru mine, vino şi acuză-l pe Israel!»

And he took up his parable, and said, From Aram hath Balak brought me, The king of Moab from the mountains of the East: Come, curse me Jacob, And come, defy Israel.
