Iona 4:2 ~ Jonah 4:2

E l s-a rugat Domnului astfel: – Ah, Doamne, nu este aceasta tocmai ce spuneam eu pe când eram în ţara mea? De aceea am încercat să fug la Tarşiş, pentru că ştiam că eşti un Dumnezeu îndurător şi milos, încet la mânie şi plin de dragoste, un Dumnezeu gata să renunţe la a mai trimite nenorocirea.

And he prayed unto Jehovah, and said, Ah, Jehovah, was not this my saying when I was yet in my country? Therefore I was minded to flee at first unto Tarshish; for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving-kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
