D acă ar intra la tine nişte hoţi, nişte prădători, în timpul nopţii, (o, cum vei fi de distrus!), n-ar fura ei doar cât ar avea nevoie? Dacă ar veni nişte culegători de struguri la tine, n-ar lăsa ei câţiva ciorchini neculeşi?

If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night (how art thou cut off!), would they not steal only till they had enough? if grape-gatherers came to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes?
