A aron să-şi pună mâinile pe capul ţapului viu şi să mărturisească toate nelegiuirile israeliţilor, toate greşelile lor şi toate păcatele lor, punându-le pe capul ţapului şi izgonindu-l pe acesta departe în pustie, printr-un om care va avea această însărcinare.
