C ând se vor împlini zilele asediului, să arzi o treime din el în mijlocul cetăţii. Apoi să iei o altă treime şi s-o tai cu sabia, mergând de jur împrejurul cetăţii, iar o treime s-o arunci în vânt. Căci voi da drumul la o sabie după ei.

A third part you shall burn in the fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a third part, and strike with the sword around it; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
