C ând am trecut pe lângă tine, m-am uitat la tine şi iată că îţi venise vremea, vremea dragostei. Atunci Mi-am întins peste tine poala hainei Mele, ţi-am acoperit goliciunea, am făcut jurământ faţă de tine şi am intrat în legământ cu tine, zice Stăpânul Domn. Şi ai devenit a Mea.

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.
