Z edechia era în vârstă de douăzeci şi unu de ani când a devenit rege şi a domnit la Ierusalim timp de unsprezece ani. Mama sa se numea Hamutal şi era fiica lui Ieremia din Libna.

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
