P uţul în care a aruncat Ismael toate hoiturile celor care fuseseră cu Ghedalia şi pe care îi ucisese, era puţul pe care l-a făcut regele Asa ca apărare împotriva lui Başa, regele lui Israel. Puţul acesta l-a umplut Ismael, fiul lui Netania, cu cei ucişi.

And the pit into which Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had slain by the side of Gedaliah was the one which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel: Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.
