C ând am văzut toate lucrurile prin care răzvrătita Israel se prostitua, am izgonit-o şi i-am dat cartea ei de despărţire. Totuşi sora ei, necredincioasa Iuda, nu s-a temut, ci s-a dus ea însăşi să se prostitueze la fel.

And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a writ of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also.
