« Aşa vorbeşte Domnul către unsul Său, către Cirus, pe care l-am apucat de mâna dreaptă pentru a supune neamurile şi pentru a dezbrăca pe împăraţi de armurile lor; pentru a deschide porţile înaintea lui, porţi ce nu vor mai fi închise:

Thus saith Jehovah to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him, and I will loose the loins of kings; to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut:
