F ierarul ia o matriţă cu care lucrează în cărbunii aprinşi; o modelează cu lovituri de ciocan şi o forjează cu puterea mâinii lui. Apoi i se face foame şi îi slăbesc puterile, iar pentru că nu bea apă, rămâne fără vlagă.

The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
