A tunci Haman i-a zis împăratului Ahaşveroş: – Există un anumit popor care a fost împrăştiat şi împărţit printre popoare, în toate provinciile împărăţiei tale, un popor ale cărui legi sunt diferite de ale tuturor popoarelor şi nu împlineşte legile împăratului. Nu se cade ca împăratul să le dea pace!
