B ăutura era oferită în urma unui decret imperial, fără oprelişti, căci împăratul ordonase tuturor mai marilor de la palat să facă pe plac fiecărui oaspete.

Drinking was done by the law. No one was made to drink. The king had told all the workmen of his house that they should give each person what he wanted.
