d eoarece nu i-au întâmpinat pe israeliţi cu pâine şi cu apă, ci l-au tocmit pe Balaam împotriva lor, ca să-i blesteme. Cu toate acestea, Dumnezeu a schimbat blestemul în binecuvântare.

because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, to curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
