C ând popoarele ţării vor veni în ziua de Sabat să vândă produse şi felurite alimente, nu vom mai cumpăra nimic de la ele nici în ziua de Sabat, nici în vreo altă zi sfântă. În fiecare al şaptelea an vom lăsa ogorul nelucrat şi vom anula orice datorie.

And if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we shall not buy it on the Sabbath or on a holy day; and we shall forego raising crops the seventh year and the compulsory payment of every debt.
