D ar Iehoaş, regele lui Israel, i-a răspuns lui Amaţia, regele lui Iuda, astfel: – Spinul din Liban a trimis un sol să-i spună cedrului din Liban: „Dă-o pe fiica ta de soţie fiului meu!“ Imediat însă animalele sălbatice au trecut pe acolo şi au călcat spinul în picioare.

And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trod down the thistle.
