A maţia era în vârstă de douăzeci şi cinci de ani când a devenit rege şi a domnit la Ierusalim timp de douăzeci şi nouă de ani. Mama lui se numea Iehoadin şi era din Ierusalim.

Amaziah was twenty-five years old he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
