D ar Iehoşeba, fiica regelui Iehoram, l-a luat pe ascuns pe Ioaş, fiul lui Ahazia, din mijlocul fiilor regelui, înainte ca ei să fi fost ucişi şi l-a pus împreună cu doica lui într-un dormitor. Astfel Iehoşeba l-a ascuns de Atalia şi aceasta nu l-a omorât. Iehoşeba era fiica regelui Iehoram, soţia preotului Iehoiada şi sora lui Ahazia.
