R egele Roboam l-a trimis la ei pe Adoniram, cel care era mai mare peste oamenii de corvoadă, dar israeliţii l-au omorât împroşcându-l cu pietre. Atunci regele Roboam s-a grăbit să se suie în car ca să fugă la Ierusalim.

Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was over the forced labor, and the sons of Israel stoned him to death. And King Rehoboam made haste to mount his chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
