F iii lui Ruben, întâiul născut al lui Israel (el era întâiul născut, dar, fiindcă a întinat patul tatălui său, dreptul lui de întâi născut a fost dat fiilor lui Iosif, fiul lui Israel; prin urmare, dreptul său de întâi născut nu i-a mai fost înscris în genealogii;

Reuben was the first-born son of Israel but because he sinned against his father’s marriage bed, his birth-right was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel. Reuben is not written down in the family names by his birth-right.
