A ceştia au fost israeliţii după numărul lor, cu căpeteniile peste familii, căpeteniile peste mii şi peste sute şi dregătorii care slujeau regelui în orice lucru ce ţinea de cetele care intrau şi care ieşeau din slujbă lună de lună, în fiecare lună a anului; fiecare ceată avea douăzeci şi patru de mii de oameni.

¶ Now the sons of Israel after their number, who were chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each course was of twenty-four thousand.
