A rameii au fugit dinaintea lui Israel. David le-a ucis arameilor şapte mii de oameni care conduceau carele şi patruzeci de mii de pedestraşi. L-a mai ucis şi pe Şofac, conducătorul oştirii lor.

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians the men of seven thousand chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
