C ând au auzit filistenii că David a fost uns ca rege peste întregul Israel, au pornit cu toţii în căutarea lui David. David a aflat însă acest lucru şi le-a ieşit înainte.

And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.
