I ehoiachim era în vârstă de douăzeci şi cinci de ani când a devenit rege şi a domnit la Ierusalim timp de unsprezece ani. Mama sa se numea Zebida şi era fiica lui Pedaia din Ruma.

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Zebidah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
