‘ Pentru că ţi s-a înduioşat inima şi te-ai smerit înaintea Domnului, când ai auzit ce am rostit împotriva acestui loc şi împotriva locuitorilor lui, – că vor ajunge de spaimă şi de blestem, – pentru că ţi-ai sfâşiat hainele şi ai plâns înaintea Mea, iată că şi Eu am auzit, zice Domnul!

Because thy heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before Jehovah, when thou heardest what I spoke against this place and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and didst rend thy garments and weep before me, I also have heard, saith Jehovah.
