D upă ce a plecat de acolo, s-a întâlnit cu Iehonadab, fiul lui Recab, care venea să-l întâlnească. Iehu l-a binecuvântat şi i-a zis: – Inima ta este tot atât de sinceră cum este şi inima mea faţă de tine? – Este! i-a răspuns Iehonadab. – Dacă este aşa, a zis Iehu, dă-mi mâna. Iehonadab i-a dat mâna şi Iehu l-a suit în car.

When Jehu left there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. Jehu said to him, “Is your heart right with my heart as mine is with yours?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So Jehonadab gave him his hand, and Jehu took him up into the war-wagon with him.
