Î n Chivot nu se mai aflau decât cele două table de piatră puse de Moise la Horeb, atunci când Domnul a încheiat legământ cu israeliţii, după ce aceştia au ieşit din ţara Egiptului.

There is nothing in the ark, only the two tables of stone which Moses put there in Horeb, when Jehovah covenanted with the sons of Israel in their going out of the land of Egypt.
