B atşeba s-a dus la regele Solomon ca să vorbească pentru Adonia. Regele s-a ridicat s-o întâmpine, s-a plecat înaintea ei şi apoi s-a aşezat pe tron. El a poruncit să se aducă un tron şi pentru mama lui, iar ea s-a aşezat la dreapta lui.

So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king arose to meet her, bowed before her, and sat on his throne; then he had a throne set for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right.
